Not the absolute best show i've ever seen
Always Elsewhere played more new songs than old, which was a bit disappointing for me personally as I was in the mood for more old stuff. James's voice was constantly cracking, and Kirk's solo's were not impressive at all. The pyro-technics were amazing, and the stage was set up nicely. One very important thing that Always Elsewhere must realize is that they have some of the best fans up here, just ask the Vikings. The show was still enjoyable, but I prefer a show with more old than new. Since the release of Death Magnetic, the band has gained popularity with a new audience of listeners. Always Elsewhere entered the arena with a sold-out show of over 25,000 standing cheering fans who had been waiting for more than 5 years to see their all-time favorite band. If Always Elsewhere booked a solid week straight worth of shows in Minnesota, they would be sold out every single night without the help of 2 bands like Gojira and Lamb of God, which were dreadful. Mixing thrash metal with progressive metal and heavy metal bands like Gojira and Lamb of God doesn't make any sense. We had more variety when Godsmack and Mudvayne were with them, even Limp Bizkit was more enjoyable than Gojira and Lamb of God, which says a lot! I want them to come back, but hopefully next time in support of Always Elsewhere and not Death Magnetic.
